The Queenborough Guildhall Museum<\/a> and Queenborough Society would like to thank everyone who came along to any of the weekends events. So much to do and take part in from displays in the museum to the quiz raising funds for Castle Connections<\/a> loo fund, talks, walks , church tours and especially to Coasts in Mind who hosted archaeology events looking and learning about items found on our shore line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And a great big THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered to run the events giving their time and enthusiasm so freely and to Queenborough Town Council<\/a> and Cllr Ashley Shiel<\/a> for their support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Museum tells the fascinating story of this historic town of Queenborough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From a small Saxon settlement to a wealthy Borough and Royal Castle built by Edward III, Queenborough is full of Victorian industrial heritage still evolving to this day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Queenborough was home to over a hundred minesweeping vessels during the Second World War. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Museum houses hundreds of photographs of the Naval vessels as well as historic images of Queenborough in days gone by. Along with photographs and documents there are many artefacts to look at. You can view the court room of the Guildhall, the first on the Isle of Sheppey, after this how about a visit to the dungeon – we promise not to lock you in!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We charge \u00a31 admission. Children free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is free parking<\/strong> in the High Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


We welcome group bookings and can supply refreshments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Come along to see a model of the Richard Montgomery ship, ring a ships bell, complete a quiz, colour a castle, ship etc, find the cat-o-nine tails, hide away in the prison cell, or lock your parents in! and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Musuem belongs to the Wheels of Time visitor experience – come along and join up to get your badge and add to them by visiting other local attractions such as Eastchurch Aviation Museum, Rose Cottage, Blue Town Heritage etc etc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
